A Tillana is a rhythmic piece in Carnatic music that is generally performed at the end of a concert. This Tillana in Darbari Kanada raga was specially composed and tuned by Dr. Vasumathi Badrinathan for the "Darbari Darshan" festival. The Raga Darbari Kanada, originated in Carnatic music and brought into Hindustani classical music by Tansen, the legendary 16th-century composer in emperor Akbar's court.

Dr. Vasumathi has presented this Tillana in her regular classical concerts and also has collaborated with world musicians and presented in several Jazz Music Festivals.
