ABOUT
We are Space Yantra, a world/electronic music duo.
Our music is aimed at that part of the human being that still feels the pulse of the forest roaring and the echo of ancestral songs resonating. Our goal is to integrate the powerful tribal call with modernity, which is why our sound combines acoustics and electronics in a hypnotic flow, bordering on dub and trance music.
Our songs are also transcultural; they are a dynamic flow that connects archetypes and musical atmospheres of many traditions of the world. We play sound symbols that unite many distant peoples in a single essential meaning.
We are a fusion of mantras, Indian classical music, and tribal elements, where the voice, harmonic singing, and acoustic instruments (from the Indian sitar to the didgeridoo, passing through the Chinese violin and Peruvian ocarina) are constantly transformed, transfigured, and strengthened by the intervention of electronics.
