About " Tammurriata Giuglianese (Sangennarobar Special Edition) "
Giugliano is located in the north-western part of Naples. In the ancient "Terra di Lavoro", the most fertile area of Campania Felix. The “tammurriata giuglianese”
originates in these lands and has remained deep in it, as deep and very strong are the roots of the reeds from which we derive the "sisco", the instrument that distinguishes the giuglianese tammorriata from all the others. For years the Damadakà have been studying and researching the songs and dances that would be lost if not documented and they recorded for Sangennarobar an exceptional jubilant tammurruata that sees for the first time a woman (Margaret Ianuario) playing the “sisco”. The voice is by Michele Arpa, Daniele and Dario Barone with drums and “triccabballacche” (traditional Neapolitan Folk instrument).
