ABOUT
The Brazilian band Omi Okun is formed by Virgílio dos Santos (voice and guitar), Bruno Rabello (drums), Dudu Bierrenbach (bass), Alexandre Munrah (percussion), André Aladê (percussion), and Igor Santos (percussion). Its driving force is an intense work of musical research on Afro-Brazilian sacred music, its influences, and aspects in traditional Brazilian popular music and contemporary mass music. These are songs made to listen to during the crossing, following the change of tides. For those who live their dreams close to the mangroves; for those who face storms on the high seas. For sunny and happy days, for days of fury and revolt.
