Nori Akagi is a Vancouver-based musician who plays wadaiko (Japanese taiko drums), djembe (African hand drum), kit drum, and writes music. He performs in the duo Bushido, the group Dahaza, and collaborates with other artists and musicians.
Bushido is a Japanese musical instrumental world music duo consisting of Nori Akagi and Alcvin Ryuzen Ramos, who is the renowned shakuhachi (Japanese vertical bamboo flute) player. He also plays the shinobue (Japanese side-blown bamboo flute) and shamisen (Japanese three-stringed instrument).
Bushido has recorded their first EP and is preparing for the sale now. They will start touring across BC for school shows in the next school year starting in September.
