Najib MAFTAH is a Lyonnais artist of Moroccan origin. Arriving in France in 2001 to continue his studies, music was his shelter from loneliness and uprooting. His Folk Rock style sung in Arabic with a progressive touch is inspired by musicians such as Cat Stevens, Chris Cornell and David Guilmour. Like Les frères Mégri, Idir, Souad Massi, he loves to create complicity between Western music and that of the Maghreb and the East. His flagship project Najib MAFTAH & Friends offers very melodic and melancholy music, but always bright and full of hope.

The song Dwaya is the first single from the Najib Maftah & Friends project that Najib started in 2019 with his cousin Camille Bellot on flute and his best friend Mohamed M'sahel on percussions, then joined the project Yosr El Karyouni on violin and Noemie Roisil on double bass.
