LIVE REVIEW

Review of my live show by Jane Alicia Lepore

I don't think I've ever experienced such a unique and authentic performer. He is so talented and so entertaining!

Mark mixes a multitude of amazing instruments, including his 2-string box fiddle, which is played a bit like a cello and has similar raw tones, with his gutsy, bluesy vocals that suddenly merge into the Mongolian throat singing technique khoomei, then into a mesmerizing chant-style vocal—vocal and instrument technique galore!

Not to mention he even manages to loop all of this to a doof doof beat, making the whole thing sound like an amazing dance song (which we hear is a big hit in Kazakhstan!—Not kidding!).

Anyway, needless to say, I had a great time!
