ABOUT
Manolis Christodoulou is an Athens-based kanun player and composer. His influences from Greek, Eastern Mediterranean music, Arabic, and World Music can be seen in his first personal album "Dawn."

He was born in Athens in 1990.
At the age of 8, he started playing the piano, studying Western classical music, but also Greek traditional and rebetiko music.
In 2009, he began his studies at the Department of Folk and Traditional Music in Arta. He also studied at the historical conservatory of Istanbul "ITU," taking lessons on Oriental music theory, as well as the kanun from famous Turkish musicians and organists.

He is one of the founders of the band "Dysanatolia," which released their first album "After a Long Time" in 2021. He is also a founding member of the band KoYaMan, as well as the Intercultural Orchestra of the Greek National Opera.
In 2021, he participated in playing music at the Greek National Theatre, and he has also composed music for theater and TV shows.
In 2023, he released his first album "Dawn."

He has played and collaborated with many famous artists, participating in many large festivals and music scenes throughout Greece, Cyprus, Istanbul, Germany, Spain, as well as on Turkish and Greek state television and radio.
