King Fez Band

In a sea of rock, pop, and folk that dominates the mass media, King Fez stands out as unique, innovative artists whose achievements show that we can be united amidst our diversity. With a blend of original and traditional music, the band's intent is to bridge the gap between Eastern and Western cultures while having fun. A favorite of the belly dance scene, King Fez was formed in 2013. Its members are Gigi Ke, electric violin; Frank Knezevich, guitar; Hugh Watkins, bass; Mark DeFilippo, drums; Beth DeFilippo, riq; and David Hart, electric oud. All are veterans of musical groups across a diverse range of styles, from traditional Arab and Turkish to rock, folk, world music, classical, and punk.
