Kyazi Lugangira, a UK-based Tanzanian singer-songwriter, guitarist, performer, and band leader of "Kihaya Blues," has emerged as a creative composer with music that blends soul, blues, jazz, Latin, and hip-hop, with roots coming from East, West, South Africa, Cape Verde, Madagascar, and Caribbean music. Kyazi has featured as a rhythm guitarist and vocalist with West African kora players Sona Jobarteh and Jally Kebba Susso, soul jazz artists Tone Richardson, Miryam Solomon, Bumi Thomas, dance music producer Kay Suzuki, Latin, African, soul, and dance music producer Koichi Sakai (Ghetto Lounge), Myoyu Jazz Soul Collective, singer-songwriter and composers Amira Kheir, and Jean Ndow. Kihaya Blues has played at the London African Music Festival and other venues across London, Royal Festival Hall, Rich Mix, Strong Rooms, Passing Clouds, Ritzy, Hootananny. Kyazi has toured around Africa, Europe, South, Central America, and Southeast Asia.
