Gary Loren Jahns

I only started writing songs recently. I must have written more than 50 of them by now, and I'm currently working with a set list of 15 or so. Many are stories I picked up somewhere. In 2015, I borrowed a friend’s ukulele and started playing some covers. A year and a half later, I started writing my own songs. I play a Magic Fluke tenor ukulele strung with a low-G, or a Kala archtop tenor tuned up to low-A/D/F#/B and capoed appropriately to add a higher-harmony track. Fishbone Rivers suggested that I add a harmonica. I'm not sure I fit into any particular genre, but labels of acoustic, singer-songwriter, folk, and americana sound about right.
