Dimitra Metzaki was born in 1995 in Corinth, Greece.
At the age of 6, she started to study classical piano.
She continued her studies at the Hellenic Conservatory of Music & Arts with Vasiliki Nakou.
She started her adventure with the oud when
she entered the University of Macedonia, and from then on, she focused on the oud.
Since 2017, she has studied at Codarts.
She has studied with great teachers such as T. Atzakas, S. Sinopoulos, E. Tsikoouridis, and A. Papadimitrakis.
She has attended masterclasses from international musicians like K. Erguner, Y. Tokcan, N. Rohana, C. Barbas, C. Labrakis, among others.
Furthermore, Dimitra has had the opportunity to play at many festivals and concert halls around the Netherlands, Brussels, and Greece.
Besides her career as a live music performer, Dimitra has three years of experience giving music lessons to her students. She teaches the oud, Western and Turkish theory, repertoire, and improvisation to all kinds of levels and ages.
Those who want to prepare for doing the Bachelor in Music and become professional musicians, to those who want to achieve a more basic or beginner level.
