Synopsis.
Diego El Gavi is the flamenco name in Portuguese. With an undeniable talent and a very unique style.
This project combines the typical elements of flamenco with jazz and Latin music. It provides the motive for a show that will engage and transport the audience to the universe of cante flamenco with Latin jazz music.
With the help of his musicians, who have an extensive curriculum ranging from jazz to fado, through Latin rhythms and reaching Balkan sonorities, Diego El Gavi can delve further into the exploration of his talent, delivering the best to the public while showcasing the finest flamenco performed in Portugal.
The concerts feature well-known names recognized for musical excellence, including Paul Croft on flamenco guitar, Ricardo Pinto on trumpet, Victor Zamora on piano, Leo Espinosa on electric bass, and Carlos Mil-Homens on cajon and percussion.
This project has played as a resident band every week for the last three years at one of the top live music clubs in the heart of Lisbon, "Bar of the Old Lady", has participated in some festivals in Portugal, and is preparing to launch its first album on the market.
