Garangadon is an old Malinke Rhythm for the shoemakers - I originally learnt parts to this Rhythm in a Djembe workshop led by the late great Mamady Keita and it was a constant source of wonder and inspiration to me as a percussionist.. Free driving into it on guitar is an absolute joy, all of these rhythms tend to suggest melodies to me and take on a whole new energy and aspect.
