Ethnically and Culturally Inspired Music

ABOUT
Techung & The Wind Horses features renowned Tibetan singer/songwriter Jhola Techung, composer/producer Michel Tyabji, and guitarist Rinzing Wangyal. Together, Techung & The Wind Horses create a captivating international sound, rooted in the band members' Tibetan, Indian, African, North American, and Caribbean influences.

In Tibetan culture, Wind Horses (Lung-Ta) are brightly-colored prayer flags. The flags are a symbol of well-being and promote good fortune. Like the flags, we hope to celebrate and share goodwill, compassion, and harmony with the world.

Techung & The Wind Horses' last album, Techung-Tibet-Lam La Che: On The Road (2013), with Keb Mo and poet Tsering Woeser, received four awards at the 2013 Tibetan Music Awards: Best Album, Best Song, Best Album Cover Design, and Best Love Song.
