About "Traveler - Wicked Train"
We are a world fusion band; we are influenced by music from all over the world and make it into our own sound and most of the songs are composed on location in exotic places. This one was composed on location … in Arizona.
We were invited to perform at the Jerome Music and Film Festival and during the day they ask me if I would play my violin on the train that runs from Clarkdale to the Perkinsville ghost ranch. They called it Wicked Wild West Cinema Train. I agreed to it. I set up my equipment on the outdoor cart of the train. I start playing my music … and none of it fits to this overwhelming sound of the train engine. Choo-chug-chuff. So, I had improvised around the rhythm of the engine… not thinking much about it. Somebody had filmed some of it and put it on facebook. I stumbled across it, and thought it sounded pretty cool… the train rhythm and the weird thing I was doing. So, I learned what I was doing in the facebook video, of course. This song was written on a train spontaneously and we call it Wicked Train… because it is haunted.
