About "Bukoviner Freylekhs"
A lively ja grooving traditional klezmertune from Bukovina. This arrangement is new, with a Finnish klezmer style and improvised solo by the accordionist Markku Lepistö. The traditional tune is in 4/4 - in this arrangement it transforms into 11/8 -groove and again into 7/8 before getting back to the original time. The solo winds like the hills of Bukovina. The region Bukovina is located on the northern slopes of the central Eastern Carpathians and the adjoining plains, today divided between Romania and Ukraine. Arrangement Sampo Lassila Band: Sampo Lassila Narinkka Aleksi Trygg, viola pomposa Markku Lepistö, accordion Janne Tuomio, suitcase percussions Sampo Lassila, double bass
