About "Ballet Djoliba - Pyramides Des Instruments"
Directed by Moussa Célestin Camara, the national Ballet Djoliba performs for the first time with SambaLolo, at the 3rd edition of the LANYI djembekan/donkan festival, in Conakry, Guinée, with the theme: "Pyramides des instruments".
Ballet Djoliba was created in 1964 by the then president Amed Sekou Touré, as a second national ballet, to complement and inherit work of the first national ballet, Les Ballets Africain, which was heavily engaged with world-wide touring. Many great artist have formed with Ballet Djoliba, including the great Mamady Keita.
