ABOUT
We use, and are inspired by, Arabic and Persian modal systems. The vocals are from the Persian tradition of improvising poetry (Hafez, Rumi). Our rhythms are an amalgamation of Eastern cultures... all this, atop Western synthesizer ostinato patterns and drones. We draw upon our very diverse cultural backgrounds and infuse them with our Western musical sensibilities and study.
