ABOUT
From western Cameroon and born in the city of Douala, Cameroon, specifically in the area of Bonamoussadi, Jean Philippe Nkouaya Mbaiakop was born on Jan. 27 in his hometown. Early on, his first passions were football and local music (Makossa, Benskin, soul). It was in 2004 when he joined a school internal system that he discovered his passion for music and especially hip-hop, but what fascinated him most was musical composition and vocal arrangements. He decided to start writing and especially musical composition. An urban music enthusiast since childhood, it was not until 2005 that the young artist discovered a talent for aligning sentences full of meaning with packed rhymes. Gradually, he made his way to his establishment by presenting in competitions and school concerts. 2006 was the year of the actual start because he recorded in July 2006 the first sound in the studio "SQUAD ROOM" with the Rept'hil commands. And thereafter, he would multiply the records and discovered another passion that became his main present. The musical programmer, initially a beat maker from 2006 to 2008 and then a blender arranger from 2009 to present. In 2007, he founded with Michael Noumbissi and Rinel Foguen the Deadzone Entertainment, an independent music label for young artists working in the hip-hop and R&B register. Later, this label would undergo a restructuring and become HOPE MUSIC GROUP. In 2008, he made radio programs such as Nosta Moov, Black List Radio Nostalgie with Olivier NKU & Gaël Panam in free-styles and discoveries sections. Unfortunately, in June 2008, following personal problems, he decided to pause the song. Nevertheless, he continued to work with young foreign artists during his trips to France. Thus, he participated in the Festival meeting multi-cultural BIG KIFF Lyon in July 2009 to represent African culture through the association HOPE NORTH SOUTH. He met artists such as Andra Moran and French producer Eric Galia, where he would receive an international cultural experience. Back from his trip, he was fascinated more by urban music, including the blending of cultures, a kind of musical mix of African rhythms (Makossa, Ben Skin, etc.) and Western electronic music. In November 2010, he decided after much thought to get back into music, but this time to stay and build his career. From 2010 to 2012, he worked on several albums and mixtapes of many artists and then signed a digital distribution contract with the South African agency CONTENT CONNECT AFRICA for distribution through its multiple platforms in Africa and its international legal contracts with reputable sites. In 2012, he became known by the production of music "DIT KOI CA" by Numerica Feat Prosby and especially the co-production "AFRICAN MAMY" by DUC-Z. From 2013 to 2014, he released "NO MORE STRANGER," the first volume of a double album; it is instrumental (BEAT TAPE). Also, he produced hits such as "VAS Y MOLO," "IL FAUT ENJAILLER" by Numerica, "ABELE" by Michael Kiessou, and "JE NE DONNE PAS LE LAIT RMX" by Duc-Z ft Singuila & Pit Bacardi. He is also the art director of the project "PARTAGE" by Michael Kiessou and most of the projects on which he works. In addition, he has composed music jingles for advertising campaigns and humanitarian projects.
