About "Worth It"
Worth It
Is it really worth it?
And do we actually deserve it?
Will we get what we want
when we only know what we don’t want?
I am not a rock star
I can’t quite play guitar
Will we really go far?
And if we do, can we take it
back?
You’re the one with all the drive, ambition
I’m the one who watches too much television
There’s so many homeless poets writing verse
So, we’ll never ever get to be the first,
But, I hope we won’t be the last
All the people who have everything
act as if they have nothing
How could it be worth it?
If they feel worthless?
I am not a rock star
I can’t quite play guitar
I didn’t know I wanted this
I never expected music
You’re the one with all the drive, ambition
I’m the one who watches too much television
There’s so many homeless poets writing verse
So, we’ll never ever get to be the first,
But, I hope we won’t be the last
I am not a rock star
I can’t quite play guitar
But who cares if we go far
as long as I keep trying to play
guitar
Is it really worth it?
And do we actually deserve it?
Will we get what we want
when we only know what we don’t want?
I am not a rock star
I can’t quite play guitar
