"Nxae", in my mother tongue, means "sorry". This song is an ode Mother Earth, particularly her daughter Africa. It tells the story her early days as an unspoilt maiden beauty who fed and nurtured her people, through the exploitation of herself and her wares and mineral, to the current state of climate change representing her exhaustion. It's collective acknowledgement of the error of our ways as humans, an apology, as well as our commitment to mend things (well, those who care).
