This song was inspired by a visit to New Plymouth, Taranaki, New Zealand. Written in celebration of a Powhiri where I was welcomed by the local Maori community. The Powhiri, as I understand it, is a meeting of spirit, a meeting without social masks. It’s a ritual, I love rituals. This is a ritual where I met new people in a state of presence, love, openness. It was a beautiful moment and this songs is my response to that magic. Thank you for the inspiration people of New Plymouth.
