This song is from my album titled "Flute Maker." As I recorded this song I attempted to mimic the sounds I've heard trees make, my flute melody is the wind blowing through the branches and limbs as well as the various bird songs. The drums represent the heartbeat of the tree, the vibrations of a tree just being in a place. The wood claves represent the branches knocking against one another from the wind or a wood pecker tapping away on a dead branch.

As a flute maker, I use a variety of wood types and with each and every flute I make I express my gratitude for the trees that were cut down to provide lumber. Without trees I wouldn't be able to make flutes. Without trees life as we know may not exist. We should be grateful for trees. Plant trees. Love trees. Respect trees. Hug trees. Spend time in the shade of trees. Listen to the sounds of trees.
