'Pan' is the first track on the album ‘En Camino’. It acts as an overture to the entire album, preparing us for what’s to come. The song is made up of distinct musical emotions, each of which is further developed in later songs. At one moment or another, all of the instruments used in the album appear, interacting together with sounds that evoke the ‘panalivio’ and ‘festejo’, two representative rhythms from the Afro-Peruvian musical tradition. As in all of my music, the cello is the protagonist.
