ABOUT
Jesper Hedegaard Trio plays Brazilian Instrumental Music with an emphasis on melody, harmony, and improvisation. The style is based on the famous Brazilian trios of the '60s. The repertoire includes Jesper's own compositions and compositions of different Brazilian composers. In many live concerts, we play tunes by composers like Filó Machado, Hermeto Pascoal, Eliane Elias, Luiz Eça, and Arismar do Espírito Santo.
The recording of the CD "Time to Change" took place in April 2012 in São Paulo. Jesper Hedegaard - piano, Sidiel Vieira (SP) - bass, Magno Bissoli (SP) - drums. Among the Brazilian composers on this CD are Tom Jobim, Lúcio Alves, and Ary Barroso.
Jesper Hedegaard generally invites different musicians to perform with his trio. Since 2012, many concerts have been joined by Alexander Kraglund on violin and harmonica.
