\ We are pleased to introduce "Mala Tempora Currunt," the debut album by Malutempu. From the very first listen, you will notice its big, spacious, and crystal clear sound—a nearly epic experience with an audiophile quality that is both cinematic and dramatic. The record also delivers picturistic and energetic passages, and it ends with a short, powerful track that leaves a strong impression.

Malutempu brings together the rich traditions of Calabria with a modern approach. Antonio Olivo leads the project with contributions from talented musicians including Domenico Ierardi on accordion and frame drums, Davide Schipani on bass, Illias De Sutter Ntavlidis on lira and violin, and Felipe Milk with the orchestra. Produced by Franco Eco for Skenè Cultura and mixed by Max Mungari in March 2024, each track has been carefully arranged to provide a clear and engaging listening experience.

One notable track, "Vestigia Hominis," incorporates vocals from a historic recording, linking past and present in a respectful way. Since its release on May 25, 2024, the album has received positive reviews and was recognized as one of Italy’s top five albums of the year by Il Manifesto.

We invite you to listen to "Mala Tempora Currunt" and consider adding it to your collection.
