ABOUT
Colmeia (worldbeat) is a seven-piece band from Norrköping and Stockholm, Sweden. The lineup consists of three singers, flute, guitar, keys, bass, and drum set. On top of that, the band adds percussion from different parts of Africa like mbiras, udu, and talking drum to their music. The music draws inspiration from Talking Heads, Afrobeat, and Soukous guitars with West African rhythms and Moog sounds. In 2019, they released the album "Big Bird Loud Tweets" and in 2024 "Cheap Souvenirs.
