About "Horon"
Christos Kaliontzidis himself composed the music and wrote the lyrics for the song Horon that was released in June 2022.
The word ‘horon’ is of ancient Greek origin and nowadays it is interwoven with the Tonya region-specific musical and rhythmic style.
Traditional instruments of the Black Sea region such as the Karadeniz kemence, the tulum, the kaval, the davul and the lute are used to create sounds of the Black Sea and the Tonya region that are seen through a modern orchestral prism.
