During the Jazz era around 1930 in the USA people went crazy for a popular tune called "The Sheik of Araby" brought to the silver screen by Italian legend Rudolph Valentino to fill and enliven the exotic daydreams of thousand of enamored, worshipping female fans.
No more dazzling sheiks in Araby today but lots of petrodollars.
Thus Check of Araby seemed more appropriate as the title for this contemporary, jazzy, Arabic inspired tune.
