This song coincides with the stop in Rio de Janeiro after crossing the Atlantic by the maritime expedition. There the natives welcomed them and provided them with all kinds of food. Some contracted malaria and in the delirium of their illness they believed that this land was Jauja, a legend similar to that of El Dorado.
