ABOUT
Alexander Duvel is a world musician who has devoted his life to bringing together diverse yet complementary instrumental voices to create inspiring and healing live musical experiences for his fellow humans across the planet. He started his musical life teaching himself to play the harmonica as a very young boy, who soon picked up the trumpet and learned Western classical and jazz music for many years. But then, in his early 20s, he began to explore ethnic hand drumming, Indian raga, and indigenous tribal music, and authentic instruments from a vast array of musical disciplines in order to study and perform music on a truly global scale. He has been professionally performing on the sitar, tabla, bansuri, doumbek, frame drums, and a host of other world percussion, string, and wind instruments in almost every kind of ensemble imaginable. Originally from Chicago, IL, USA, he is now a performing soloist who lives in Washington, D.C.
