From our on-going project Orchestra of Samples, this track Return of Django features well known French artist DJ Zebra on guitar alongside gaita flute recorded in Colombia. The enigmatic ‘wild west movie’ vibe is driven by slow beating congas and rotating ‘blow pipes’, both recorded in France. Field-recording samples from the UK include violin and ethereal sounding crotales from world renowned percussionist Dame Evelyn Glennie and berimbau, pandeiro and Cascabelillo percussion samples were recorded in Brazil and Colombia. A musical journey without borders.
