My band is called Abdou Mboup & Waakaw, featuring David Gilmore on guitar, Kenny Davis on bass, Dario Boente on piano, Craig Rivers on saxophone, Damon Due White on drums, and myself playing the kora (African harp), xalam (African guitar), percussion, and vocals. Years ago, I came to Spain touring with, among others, Joe Zawinul Syndicate, Michel Petrucciani, Steve Turre, David Murray, and more.
