Doña Ubenza, nos cuenta Néstor Chacho Echenique, es una mujer como tantas otras del norte argentino, que pasan su vida trabajando en el campo y con los animales, y el tiempo se les escapa diariamente trabajando de sol a sol. De vez en cuando sueltan sus penas copleando con la ayuda de su caja, y no se complican la vida con pensamientos profundos: no hay tiempo, la vida es como es y así hay que aceptarla.
Doña Ubenza, Néstor Chacho Echenique tells us, is a woman like so many others in northern Argentina, who spend their lives working in the fields and with animals, and time escapes them daily working from dawn to dusk. From time to time they release their sorrows by singing with the help of her box, and they do not complicate their lives with deep thoughts: there is no time, life is as it is and that is how we have to accept it.
