Angela Akiyana Kweku, popularly known as Akiyana, is a profound voice, an unparalleled brand, a diversity maverick, and an advocate for girls and the redefinition of contemporary Afro-dancehall. She was born to Rtd. Captain Henry Chatioseh Kweku and Mrs. Janet Manu on September 3, 1997, at the 37 Military Hospital. Akiyana completed her education at Aburi Girls Senior High School and studied International Economics and Trade at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in China. Akiyana injects enthusiasm and pure energy into her act to create simple yet sophisticated, high-performing, and cohesive narratives with every record she touches. Her debut single 'Nobody Bad,' which featured Kelvinbwoy, was a chart-topping single and received massive airplay, giving her the perfect introduction to a global audience. She then backed it up with a hit song titled 'Bubra' and many more. The stalwart started writing songs in high school and has an unquestionable faith in the message she carries with her music. An avid reader and student of the Universe, she says, "I love traveling, cooking, and swimming when I am not bottled up in the studio creating timeless masterpieces."
