About "Along The Cosmic Nile"
This piece is very rhythmic and has an exotic groove throughout with impressions of the middle east, Egypt and India. This piece is rhythm centric incorporating Different Exotic Percussions Throughout the piece and layered on top of each other. It starts with a Low Pan establishing the Main theme followed by a Counterpoint Pan, then a stop introducing the first layer of Percussion which is the Ceramic Drum and Various African Hand Percussions. Once the groove is established the rest of the instruments enter: Egyptian Darbouka, African Drums, A Kalimba, The rest of the 5 Pans; Med , Hi Med, and Hi; as well as a Peruvian PanFlute and eventually bringing in Indian Tabla.
