Kossenitsa is named after the author of the piece - Konstantin Beykov (Kosio). The bass voice in Spectrum Vocal Band and one of the main composers/arrangers of Spectrum's music, Konstantin wrote this original, drawing inspiration from Bulgarian "horo" music and jazz. It is virtuosic in nature and in a complex time signature, as are most of the Bulgarian folk dances.
