Sankofa Crew!!
Sankofa Crew is a Ghanaian-based band formed on the 17th of July, 2019, in Takoradi, to be precise. Although the band was in existence with a different name since August 2017. Sankofa traditionally means "Go back and get it."
The main aim of the band is to revive and bring back our old authentic African music, Ghanaian Highlife music, African Gospel music, Folk music, Afro-fusion, and other genres such as Jazz, Salsa, Swing, Reggae, and Afrobeat.
The band released its first album dubbed "Edziban" on the 14th of November, 2021, and later released a single named "3boa Nipa, Gye Receipt" on the 3rd of June, 2022.
The "Edziban" album consists of ten (10) tracks namely:

Due to the uniqueness and the dynamic tunes of the band, the band has had the chance to perform at some highly hosted events such as The Artpreciate Creative Award, "The 32nd Ghanafest Chicago Concert, World Highlife Day, African Music Showcase, Western Music Awards - 4th, 5th, and 6th edition, Wassaman Awards, Western Business Awards, etc.
The band has worked with so many artists in Ghana such as Joyce Blessing, Obaapa Christy, Diana Asamoah, Amy Newman, Tagoe Sisters, KDM, Shasha Marley, KK Kabobo, Ackah Blay, Kofi Bentsil, Gyedu Ambuley, Amandzeba, Akosua Agyapong, Okyeame Kwame, Fameye, Kofi Kinaata, Nero X, Snow B, Ayesem, Kwesi Swat, Afezi Perry, Kwesi Flex, Naana Blue, Naff Kassi, and many more!!
The band won three awards in the Classic and Entertainment Awards for Music Group, Highlife Song (Adwen Pa), and Highlife Artist on the 30th of April, 2022.
