[From Ron Korb new album, Asia Beauy, released in 2015] In ancient China there lived an Emperor who ruled over five provinces. Each province was in turn ruled by a female governor, so that the Emperor’s kingdom became known as The House of The Five Beauties. These women were educated in philosophy, martial arts, music, dance and literature. Each of them played a musical instrument, and each instrument identified the region that they governed.
