Duo Olam Ein Sof was formed in 2001 by the musicians Marcelo Miranda and Fernanda Ferretti. Their songs are inspired by themes such as medieval, Renaissance, folk, various mythologies, and the ethereal universe, thus they do distinctive authorial work.
Seeking a deep name without a meaning label, and one that has a representation of an infinite union, Olam Ein Sof was chosen. A Kabbalistic name with complex significance, it can be translated as "Infinite World," which is how they think about art: without frontiers and transcendental.
They propose in their concerts a show with magic and fantasy, bringing back the values of our ancestors and a reconnection with the universe. They have toured through many Brazilian states and also in Colombia (2010/2017), Chile (2012), Portugal (2014/2015/2018/2019), Spain (2015/2019), Italy (2016), and Germany (2018).
The duo also interacts with other types of art such as dance, literature, visual arts, and research, and plays medieval music.
Their discography includes 5 CDs and 1 DVD: Immram (CD 2004), Celtic Mythology (CD 2005), Ethereal Dimensions (CD 2010), Reino de Cramfer (CD 2014), Live at Wave Summer Festival (DVD 2015), Cantigas de Reis, Trovadores e Peregrinos (CD 2017), and Tempo do Sonho (EP 2021).
