Singer/songwriter Olcay Bayir, from Turkey and based in London, was nominated for Best Newcomer in the Songlines Music Awards 2015. Her debut "Neva/Harmony" was published in October 2014 by Riverboat Records. She is the recipient of a 2017 Women Make Music funding award from the Performing Right Society, Music Foundation UK. Singer/songwriter Olcay Bayir blends her Anatolian and Kurdish musical traditions and Mediterranean roots with contemporary sounds, adding dynamic grooves through her original compositions and eclectic arrangements of the sound of the east.
