mu:arts is a London-based creative producer and promoter specialising in Japanese music, arts, culture, and the performing arts. It is committed to presenting the highest quality artists and productions. Its work involves programming, producing concerts and cultural events, touring, booking, PR, sponsorship, fundraising, and networking and has worked in over 25 countries. mu:arts also coordinates educational and community outreach programmes and workshops which regularly receive high evaluations. In 2013, mu:arts extended the range of its activities to embrace a broad range of Western classical music with a particular commitment to promoting excellent emerging artists.

To achieve its aims, mu:arts works with festivals, venues, arts organisations, educational bodies, governments, and corporations. mu:arts has particular expertise in facilitating innovative cross-cultural, cross-arts collaborations to bring innovative and inspiring events to audiences and communities.

In addition to the presentations of artists at major festivals across Europe, recent landmark events which mu:arts has produced include a Japanese Music Festival “Hibiki” (Flyer) at Kings Place, London (2011), a 1-month-long dance project as part of Big Dance 2012 for communities in Islington (2012), and the co-production of a Japanese music festival with Museum Rietberg and Auditorium Parco della Musica, Rome for “Japanese Music Fest” (2012). In spring 2013, mu:arts co-produced a 3-week Cherry Blossom festival in Alnwick Garden in North England. During 2013, mu:arts will extend its reach to Australia, New Zealand, and Morocco, by participating in festivals including WOMADelaide, WOMAD NZ, and the Mawazine Festival in Rabat.
