Stylized in a contemporary mood, "Carga" brings to the present day a poem and a melody recovered from the memory of an isolated people, which otherwise would be lost in time.
It expresses not only the pillars of life such as love, grief and joy, but also the working rhythm of labor that forged the lives of the islanders in Madeira.
