As one of the most active as well as popular Swiss Reggae acts, FAMARA has already successfully released 8 albums with his refreshing mix of Afro-Reggae, Dub and World music. However, FAMARA’s output seems to be endless after more than 15 years! After a short creative break, the Reggae pioneer is ready to present his newest work.

«KARIBU» - meaning welcome - is the clever title of his latest offering which boasts a wide array of excellent musicians on the thirteen sunny and varied songs (incl. the intro). Top class riddims, a phat Hornsection, harmonious backing vocals, but also a Blues harmonica, ensure the typical unmistakeable World-reggae- sound, ignite first class fireworks and drive FAMARA to top form on his 9th album. This is proven, for example, by the first single «Reggae made in Switzerland» (No. 6) which definitely leaves you wanting more - earthy, rootsy, relaxed and hugely catchy. A refreshing reggae classic with hit potential!

FAMARA did not travel to Gambia or Jamaica to do the recordings - no, he went to «One-Drop Studio» in Basel! There, the authentic work was produced under the wings of Eric Gut, Matthias Tobler (both The Scrucialists) and Rainer Schudel. The new album was mastered by Dan Suter (echochamber, Zurich).

«KARIBU» - welcome is also the name of the Release-Tour, which will be supported by a prominent Backing- Band.
