The Chant "Kanikoomo kanikeke" is a cry chant from Rigo village in the central province of Papua New Guinea. Elders sing this chant as a song of hope when a family member or loved one pass on. The song starts in English and Tok Pisin then builds up with the beautiful chants from Rigo with the sound of traditional shells and Kundu percussion originally made in Papua New Guinea. The main goal of this track is to empower people to be strong, work together and believe that we will find light in some of the darkest times of our lives.
