Ellipsis Quintet

The prog/world/jazz band Ellipsis Quintet, two years after their successful debut album “Avoid the Void”, are releasing their fresh new single, “Nevma”(meaning a metaphorical and literal “nod” in the greek language) on March 22nd 2024. The band is taking a surprising new direction with this track. Although “Nevma” is flirting with the prog-rock sound, it isn’t adopting the genre's stereotypical elements. Making use of low tuned distorted guitars, heavy grooves and controlled improvisations, with the trumpet at its center, the tune seems to flow in an easy and unencumbered way.
