Yeuk Yeuk’s lyrics describe a popular and intellectual Senegal at the same time, alternating traditional topics with lyrics influenced by the senegalese twentieth century poetry, precisely from the Négritude movement of David Diop, which tell about an independent and authentic Africa, which lays claim to its pride for its traditions and mysticism.
