In 2010, J. Lawson and Megan Fong joined forces to bring together a unique blend of new sounds. Both J. and Megan have since shown their proficiency as multi-instrumentalists, performers, composers, and generators of new thought. Through their collaborative efforts, they create a unique balance of melody and rhythm to reveal a clear relationship of different popular American music influenced by world music. Their blend of acoustic and electronic elements offers a new sonic interpretation unique to American and world music. Their non-Western European methods of weaving improvisation and composition give the listener a genuine sense of connection to different artistic and cultural perspectives and to human relationships, through which we all share the beauty of a communal musical experience.
