Kupala is an ancient pagan holiday celebrated on the night of the summer solstice. It is a holiday of unity with nature, purification and renewal. It symbolizes fertility, health and love, as well as a return to the ancient linguistic beliefs of the Slavs. The main rituals include bathing in water, jumping over a fire, fortune telling, collecting herbs and weaving wreaths.
